LawrencevilleOnce Pittsburgh's industrial corridor, Lawrenceville has reinvented itself into one of the most creative and walkable neighborhoods in the city. Butler Street is the spine of it all, lined with independent restaurants, craft breweries, galleries, boutiques, and Row House Cinema, with walk and bike scores above 80.
BloomfieldJust west of Lawrenceville and sometimes called Pittsburgh's "Little Italy," Bloomfield is a close-knit residential neighborhood with beloved local restaurants along Liberty Avenue and easy access to Lawrenceville, Oakland, and downtown. It is a quieter, more grounded alternative for renters who want proximity to Lawrenceville's energy without being in the middle of it.
Strip DistrictSitting along the Allegheny River between downtown Pittsburgh and Lawrenceville, the Strip District has transformed from a wholesale food market into one of the city's most dynamic mixed-use neighborhoods, with the Pittsburgh Public Market, the Three Rivers Heritage Trail, and a rapidly growing base of restaurants and tech offices.
OaklandPittsburgh's educational and medical hub, Oakland is home to the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, UPMC Presbyterian, and cultural institutions including the Carnegie Museums and Phipps Conservatory. It draws students, researchers, and healthcare workers who want to be close to the city's strongest employment cluster.
